A Wedding Of Fall Colors | Jess + Adam

A Wedding Of Fall Colors At St. George’s Greek Orthodox Church in Bethesda, MD

Jess and Adam were married on a gorgeous Fall day at St. George’s Greek Orthodox Church in Bethesda, MD.  They had their reception at the Woodlands at Algonkian in Sterling, VA among the red, orange and yellow Fall leaves.  It was such a great day photographing for this amazing couple!  Their ceremony was in the traditional Greek style, which was a first for me, but very interesting to see!  Adam’s side of the family is Greek and Jess’ dad is from England.  I love being able to meet a couple’s family and friends at a wedding.  Each wedding is unique and the people who are a part of them always make them different and fun!

After Jess and Adam’s ceremony, we ventured out by golf cart into the woods at the reception site to find some great Fall spots to take some couple’s photos.  There were no lack of amazing looking trees and Fall scenery to choose from on that warm, October day.  One of Jess’ bridesmaids even pointed out a a great spot down a path into the woods that was truly magical!  Needless to say, we captured a lot of great shots there!  Not to mention, this couple already looks like models and are so great together, so it wasn’t hard ;)

The reception commenced with a huge surprise for all of us!  Jess and Adam disappeared for a few minutes after being announced in, while we all waited with anticipation.  What could they be up to?  So, Jess has been a dancer for many years and to everyone’s surprise, she and Adam had planned a choreographed dance to start off the reception!  We were all in awe the entire time the dance was going on.  It was like they had come straight off of Broadway!  I have to say, that was one of my favorite parts of the evening and so exciting to see!  The rest of the evening went off without a hitch as well.  Everyone had a great time dancing and I even caught a photo of Adam’s mom doing the “Wobble” ;)

Thank you Jess and Adam for your friendships and letting me be a part of your amazing wedding!  It was an honor to get to know both of you better and to meet your friends and family :)  Enjoy their photographs!
