• Shockoe Bottom & Church Hill

    It’s about time I do some photos in my own home city!  Richmond has so much history and there are no lack of interesting places to explore.  These photos were taken this past spring in Shockoe Bottom, which is one of my favorite places, and Church Hill, which is also filled with history.  Patrick Henry gave his “Give me liberty or give me death” speech in St. John’s Episcopal Church which is located near Chimborazo Park in Church Hill.  …

  • Sharp Top Mountain

    I took a hike up Sharp Top mountain yesterday with a really good friend.  It’s always so gorgeous going to the mountains and is such a relaxing getaway.  It was a little bit rainy but ended up being a perfect combination of weather that resulted in a walk through the clouds at the top!

    I found out just by browsing around VCU’s Photo/Film school website that National Geographic photographer, Bill Allard was going to be speaking downtown about his work. This was an event sponsored by the ASMP (American Society for Media Photographers). I had found out about the ASMP about a year or so ago when I had first started thinking about pursuing photography more seriously.
