Natural Bridge & Tipi Glamping | Shenandoah

Shenandoah, Virginia in Fall | Adventures at Natural Bridge & the Tipi Glamping Experience Fall is such a perfect time to visit the Shenandoah region. We love taking drives along the Blue Ridge Parkway, grabbing a beer at Devil’s Backbone or hiking a new trail, especially when the leaves are starting to change! This particular weekend was Sam’s birthday and mountain lover that he is, we decided to drive out and explore somewhere new out west. I had booked Sam…

  • Colonial Williamsburg | Williamsburg, Virginia

A walk around Colonial Williamsburg | Williamsburg, VA Tourism I had some downtime in between events during a multi-day corporate event that I was photographing in Colonial Willisamsburg so I decided to take advantage of the free time and capture some of the happenings in the historic district. It was like stepping back in time seeing the men and women in period attire and folks being taken around in horse drawn carriages. I stopped at The Cheese Shop for a…

  • The Byodo-In Temple | Kaneohe, Hawaii

Travels to the Byodo-In Temple in Kaneohe | Oahu, Hawaii I spent my first full day on Oahu exploring the Kaneohe area. I had heard about it the last time I visited Hawaii but hadn’t had a chance to go. The temple is part of the Valley of the…

  • Resort Marketing Photography | Fond Doux Plantation & Resort

In January, I traveled to St. Lucia and sought out several resorts in Soufrière in need of marketing photography. Fond Doux Plantation and Resort wanted some images to use for promotion of their resort to help drive more bookings. Fond Doux was one of my favorite resorts that I photographed because of it’s lush landscape and history! They are a 19th century Eco-friendly resort situated on cocoa groves with luxury cottages and two on-site restaurants. A great draw to this…

  • Chincoteague & Assateague Travel

On Memorial Day weekend, Sam and I took a drive up to Chincoteague and Assateague on the Eastern Shore of Virginia. We hoped for a chance to see the ponies and have a little beach time! Neither of us had been to either of the islands before. I still can’t believe that I hadn’t because I live in VA and have been to many other islands outside of the state and country! Sometimes when I take a vacation, I like…

  • People of St. Lucia

I had a really good time meeting some local folks up in Castries a few days ago.  They all had a story to tell and I was interested to hear it!  Everyone is doing what they can to make a living, from fishing to selling souvenirs to tourists.  Fishing is a huge business here in Saint Lucia.  Many of the men fish, including the man below, whose name is Peter.  Peter was a fisherman most of his life and now…
